What Kinesiology means?

Kinesiology comes from the Greek word kinesis, which means motion. In the medical sciences kinesiology is the study of muscles and movements on human being as well as on animals.

Advanced kinesiology and other programs we offer at the IKTI, use kinesiology to refer to muscle testing, a form of biofeedback. Using specific muscle testing procedures, this biofeedback system allows us to communicate directly with the body's bio-computer on different levels such as the structural, emotional and nutrition level just to mention a few. We test the body's systems & programs to help us identify and balance different issues on different aspects and levels of our lives.

What type of Kinesiology we practice at the IKTI?

The term Applied Kinesiology being reserved to MDs and DCs (doctors of chiropractic) who trained (at least 100 hrs) and pass the exam in Applied Kinesiology, we call our kinesiology, Advanced Kinesiology (AK) because it is way more advanced than traditional Western kinesiology. AK links the West with the East and addresses different levels and aspect of someone's life such as the structural, emotional and biochemical (nutritional) level just to mentionned a few, just like in Applied Kinesiology and beyond.

Our training in AK is mostly for people who are interested in either becoming a professional in the field of kinesiology or for people who would like to integrating muscle testing kinesiology as one of their modality either in their lives (for personal - familial reasons) and/or in a professional setting/practice.

All AK courses at the IKTI use muscle testing as a method of biofeedback, to identify imbalances in the body's energy system. For instance each muscle being tested could relate to an organ, gland and/or meridian depending on the test used. Every muscle could also, once balanced and ready to be muscle tested, be used to identify different unwanted patterns, systems and/or programs in our body’s bio-computer.

Once imbalances are identified through the muscle testing procedures, only the body’s bio-computer would be able to tell us what would strengthen, cancel or eliminate a specific imbalance. Either one needs to reprogram some conflicts and/or sabotages, identify substances that weaken the body energy or to simply balance muscles, glands, organs and/or meridians. Only our own and unique body has the answers to our own imbalances. And this is why we use AK to tap into our body bio-computer.

Anyone without any prior knowledge of muscles, physiology and/or meridians can easily learn this process. Our training is open to all.

Is it safe?

The techniques are safe and easy to learn.

Top ↑

Is this a form of medical treatment?

No, we do not diagnosed, treat, prescribe or work with named diseases. These techniques are taught with the intention of balancing a person’s energies in relation to their goals; we identify, prioritize life goals and balancing the energy to meet them.

Top ↑

Do you use needles?

No, we do not use needles. We work on the acupuncture meridian system only with gentle touch on energy reflex points using sometimes, magnet and laser (instead of needles).

Top ↑

Do I need a license to use this?

No, you do not need a license to use kinesiology. Questions about becoming a credentialed professional kinesiologist will be addressed in class.

Can children attend the IKTI courses?

Our courses are open to all and yes the courses we offer at the IKTI are easy enough for even children of a certain age to use and learn. The protocols are safe to use on family and friends.  Many people report that IKTI courses help them put the power of choice and change back into their hands. They feel empowered and responsible for their lives and health choices. Children become very curious and love to muscle test or to be muscle tested. They want to know what is or isn’t good for them. Bringing your child to one of our classes can help you reconnect and deepen your relationship with your child. Must be minimum 15 years old and you must call ahead to inform and get approval.

Can I self-test?

Muscle testing is a science and an art. Doing it well on others takes training and practice, just like anything else. Doing it on yourself requires more rigor, as you must be neutral and unbiased in order to get a clear result from muscle testing. This is not that simple when someone may be attached to the results of the test itself and therefore jeopardize the accuracy of the test. Understandably, it is difficult for someone to be detached from him or herself. However, with experience and practice, you may learn to be neutral and unbiased and trust the body’s natural healing intelligence. What is certain is that it takes time, practice and real detachment from the results. We teach the self-test techniques in AK100 workshop only.

My friends and I are taking the exact same live online training courses on the same dates but in different states in the US and one in another country. Could we all practice together during practice time if some of us do not find anyone to practice on?

I want to become certified. Which class(es) shall I start with?

There are only two entry courses in the AK workshops, AK100 and AK101. Those 2 workshops do not have any prerequisite. All other AK workshops after AK101 have prerequisite. E.g to take AK102 you need to have taken AK101... So if you missed AK100 you can still take AK101 and take AK100 later.

What is Family Constellation?

Unconsciously, we inherit some of our parent’s anxieties and carry on some of their lives disappointments. Just as we inherit their genetic, we also inherit some of their residues from unspoken or unresolved past traumatic events, involuntarily! It didn’t start with you… but it could end with you.

A Family Constellation is a three-dimensional process that has the power to shift generations of suffering and unhappiness so you can live healthier, happier, more fulfilled lives. The results can be life-changing. To learn more take our RK100/FC workshop (Relational Kinesiology 100 / Family Constellation) or book a session.

What to choose between live onsite and live online courses? And what to expect during live online practice time?

Being onsite is best if you can come to us, as you get to practice and experience the work directly with other participants and the instructor.

Live online courses are also an excellent choice if you cannot travel to us. We would be able to see and hear each other well. It is suggested for you to have someone; a friend and/or a colleague that register too so you can practice on each other and receive the work as well (except for RK100/FC course no partner needed). The more people you practice on and receive the work from the better.

In order to find someone in your town click here (if you have not signed in yet) to provide your info and generate automatically flier(s) with your own referral number. You could post those fliers around town and/or share them with your friends and colleagues.

We can also help you create a group in your area or find you partner(s) once you registered. Just contact us to request our help once you are registered so we can use our website, our social media and connection to help you find a group or partner(s).

If you do not have anyone to pratice on during the practice time, we could group you with the people onsite or online (in a virtual private practice room). For instance you could be the "therapist/practitioner" in a practice group of 3 people and you would tell your "assitant" (another onsite or online participant) what to do on the third person who would be receiving the work. Remember we can see and hear you very well! Or you may prefer during practice time to just assist a group or just observe other practice. What ever works best for you.

Note: If you are going to practice on people during practice time, you want to set up your camera so that we can see you practicing (instead of your back). It is recommended to have a table for AK100, Ak103 and up  For AK101 and AK102 we don't use it much, depending on the person(s) you would be practicing on, you may need one or not. And if so it would be for a brief moment. You can replace a massage table by a sturdy table, sofa, bench, yoga mat or even the floor.

What do I need for the live online courses?

You can join us with a computer equipped with a webcam or with pretty much any other devices E.g. Cellphone, Tablet... Just perform a Zoom Test with the device you will be using on the day of the workshop.

Make sure once registered you add our email address: info at ikti (dot) org in your email contact to avoid receiving our emails in your spam box as we will email you your invitation and more detail info.

Do we get lunch or dinner break?

If your class stats in the morning then yes you will get 1 hour lunch break.
If you class starts at 1pm then you would not have a lunch break.
If your class ends at 8 or 830pm or no matter what time your class end we never have dInner break.
So bring healthy snacks (brain food) for the long day of learning. We will have short breaks through out the day.

Top ↑

Is it too much to take one level after the other?

No, it is like going from one chapter of a book to another. The more you practice the muscle testing procedure going from one level to the next, the more skilled you become. It gets easier with more tools and hands-on experience. You become more at ease with the biofeedback system as you go from one level to the next. Plus, it is better to continue your practice if you can, without time lags.

Top ↑

What shall I bring to class?

Bring healthy snacks and water you can eat during the busy day of learning. Also bring different types of water and samples of the foods and products you normally consume. You will have the opportunity to muscle test all of those things to determine what is good and not good for you.  Many people find this process to be fun, informative and even surprising.

Only for people who are requesting CEUs please have your license number with you and an ID.

Top ↑

What to wear?

Wear comfortable clothes. Long shorts or pants are good depending on the season.  You may want to dress in layers to adjust for temperature. Do not wear heavy perfumes or colognes.
